Product Overview & Specification

This product is a high-efficiency Embedded G-Type Fin Tube designed for demanding heat transfer applications. It combines the excellent thermal conductivity and formability of a seamless low-carbon steel base tube with the superior strength and wear resistance of high-carbon steel fins.

The core tube is manufactured in strict compliance with ASTM A179/A179M, the standard specification for seamless cold-drawn low-carbon steel tubes used in heat exchangers and condensers . The fins are made from AISI/ASTM 1060 high-carbon steel. The "G-Type" or embedded fin design typically involves a fin strip wound into a machined helical groove on the base tube and secured by the raised metal, ensuring a permanent, metallurgical bond with outstanding heat transfer efficiency and mechanical durability.

Material & Structure

This is a composite product utilizing two distinct steel grades for optimal performance:

  • Base Tube: Made from ASTM A179 seamless cold-drawn steel. This material is chosen for its consistent quality, good ductility, and excellent thermal conductivity, making it ideal for the pressure-containing component of a heat transfer tube .

  • Fins (Embedded): Made from AISI 1060 (ASTM A1060) high-carbon steel. This grade is selected for applications requiring higher strength, hardness, and wear resistance than lower-carbon steels can provide . The high carbon content gives the fins robustness in harsh operating environments.
